Whatsapp Update – For Whatsapp to catch up with being everyone’s favourite app it has to keep updating its features on a regular. By bringing in these feature updates, the company keeps enticing its users as such being a day to day essential.
How to Do Whatsapp Update
Whatsapp Updating is platform independent. But on a general note we could say the steps below can be followed to update the WhatsApp app for your device:
- Launch the app
- Tap on menu
- Tap on settings
- Click on about
- Tap on options from the about page
- Click on Check for update
- Follow on-screen instructions to install updates
You can manually check for updates by visiting the Whatsapp official site at http://www.whatsapp.com/download.
Depending on your device, usually, when there’s a new update you might start experiencing some difficulty using the app. These difficulties can range from
- The app always crashing
- Accessing features becomes a difficult
- The app gets clumsy
- Media always cancels
- And lots more…
When you face difficulties like this you should check if there’s a certain update that you are not aware of. And you will be on your way to getting back the pleasure of texting with Whatsapp.
You don’t need to delete or uninstall an already existing Whatsapp app before updating it. If you do delete it you may lose your entire chat history then there are chances of still downloading an old version again of which you can still update it to get it up to speed.
The Latest of the Whatsapp Update
Whatsapp seems to have worked up a new feature that will work hand in hand with several features. It has already established at the same time. This time users will be allowed to pin chats with their favourite contacts to the top of the Chat window.
This new feature is still test run on the Android platform and with great success might be rolled out in stable versions to be implemented on the app soon.
To pin a chat you will have to press and hold the chat in question and tap on the pin symbol to get this feature in place and running. Once pinned, the chat will remain at the top of the chat screen while other recent chats will show up under the set of pinned chats. The number of pinned chats is limited to 3 for now, we are hoping this option is extended. The pin feature isn’t limited to individual chats alone, group chats can also be pinned.
With the pin feature comes the unpin option too, does this mean it’s a single feature update, two feature updates or it’s a 2-in-1 package. The Whatsapp beta users can now access this feature but stable versions should expect it soonest.
