The company’s first product was unveiled in 2014, and was hyped as the “Flagship Killer.” Owning to the fact that it somehow happened to be better in spec and other comparable features to other flagship phones of the year. It was sold at a lower price for its 16GB and 64GB versions.
Oneplus.net used an infamous invite system through which it ensured it only produced according to the number of orders made. But it also came with several hardware issues that were minimal that it was easily corrected with later batches of the phone.
The OnePlus 2 came a little over a year later as a successor to the OnePlus one. It was also promoted as a “Flagship killer” of 2015. This second generation of OnePlus phones had a lot of high expectations attached to it. This expectation was because of how great the OnePlus one was and partly from the companies hype for the upcoming phone. The phone came with no NFC chip, no mobile payment feature. The OnePlus 3 came into the picture in 2016 with a “metal unibody”, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of UFS 2.0 storage. Seems to be the first of its kind in the OnePlus family as critics held it in high regards because of its low price and high specifications.
The OnePlus 3T came to the mobile market on November 15, 2016. It came with a minor upgrade to the OnePlus 3 even though the device is still just recent itself. This little upgrade was in the areas of a newer SoC. Replacing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with Snapdragon 821 and a higher battery capacity, 16 MP front facing camera and128 GB of storage.
OnePlus 4 came with a 5.5-Inch display and a fingerprint scanner. 8GB of ram, Qualcomm Octal core processor and a 4000mAh fast charging battery. 22MP and 8MP rear and front cameras and more added features.
