IS MAXTHON FOR ANDROID SECURE?
Maxthon web browser is developed by a Chinese company called Maxthon Ltd located in Beijing and has been facing some challenge on the security aspect of the browser. Researchers claims to have found traits of the company keeping track of users browsing history and data without users’ knowledge. The information the company has been collecting from its users contains information needed to know exactly where to attack should an operation of such needs to be conducted, according Justin Harvey who is a chief security officer at Fidelis Cybersecurity
Each user browsing history according to the researchers goes to the creators of Maxthon servers in Beijing, these histories include queried search on Google as well while these data’s are being transmitted to the server in Beijing the cryptographic architecture isn’t strong enough to keep potential hackers away.
This seems to be the only aspect of Maxthon that has kept users at bay.
